How to get writing tasks and projects?
Congratulations on getting selected as a writer at WittyPen! 🎉 You must be excited to get your first writing task, right? Know how to get one here! To get writing tasks and projects, you must go through your feed. Your feed is the collection of all the tasks and projects on WittyPen presented to you sorted by the time they were created. It also allows you to show your interest for a particular open task/project. Once you click on "I'm Interested", you'll appear on our end in the lis
On what basis are writers selected for a particular task or project?
We allocate Account Managers to each of our Customers on the platform. So our Account Managers are responsible for selecting writers and they follow a set norm based on the requirements. Writers are selected from a pool of writers who have shown interest for that particular task or project. A writer who excels in that particular genre of writing and matches the experience suitable for that level of content creation is selected for a particular task or project. So no hard feelings there! 😇
When will I be paid for my work and what is the mode of payment?
You will be paid a week after your tasks are accepted on the platform by the customer. You can view the status of your task on your dashboard itself by clicking on "My Tasks". For monthly projects, payments will be released on the completion of the project as a whole. And the concerned Operations Associate will notify you regarding the payment schedule for such projects. How much can I earn from the platform?
A writer receives a flat 70% of the total amount paid by the customers for a task. The expected pay is also mentioned in every task. In case of any doubts, you know what to do... Reach out to us! ✌️
How do I get notified regarding upcoming and ongoing tasks/projects?
Excited to know all that's going on in our platform? Don't worry, we'll notify you about it all! 🤗 The notifications can be received on the website, on your email and through SMS. Notifications from WittyPen can be seen on your home screen of the website. Once you are logged in, you will see a bell icon on the right side of the screen. Click on the bell icon and it will give you a list of all your notifications. You can clear these notifications, if you want, by clicking on the "Clear All"
Why don't writers get the byline on the content?
Writers don’t get byline on the content as you are writing it for the customers as per their needs. A Writer here is always a ghostwriter. 👻 What is a ghostwriter? A ghostwriter is a writer who is hired to author literary or journalistic works, speeches or other texts that are officially credited to another person, which in this case will be the customer. Why is my payment getting delayed?
We believe in paying our writers on time. You will be paid a week after your tasks are accepted on the platform by the customer. For project payments, we have a different routine. What are Projects? A Project is a collection of tasks. Once a writer is selected for a project, you will be allocated task(s) based on their skills and the project requirements. Why is my payment 10% less than the mentioned amount?
The difference of 10% of the amount paid to you in your bank account and the payment mentioned on the platform, is the TDS (Tax Deducted at Source), which you can claim while filing for Income Tax Return. So no worries! 😇
What are the basic things I should keep in mind before writing content?
Basic things to keep in mind before writing content are the customer and their audience’s needs. It should be custom written on the basis of the customer’s answers to the list of questions. Do ensure to provide us with quality content. 🙌
What to do if I am not available to write for a task?
In case of an emergency, you can always say "No" to a task after it is assigned to you (Don't make it a habit though! 😜). But as the deadline for a task is usually 24 to 48 hours, you must immediately inform the team through call, E-mail or on our Website. Our team will then allocate the task to someone else. This will ensure that the task is delivered on time to the end customer! 😊
Why do I need to provide my bank details?
To receive the payment for the task or project you completed, you need to provide your bank details. The payment will be transferred to your bank account directly.💰
What are remarks and what should I use it for?
Remarks are notes which can be seen by our Content Operations Team (or the Admins). You can use remarks to convey messages to the Admin about the content like doubts, changes etc. Remarks are present in a white box on the top left of your page that has the content.
